Ivens Olinto Machado was a Brazilian sculptor, engraver and painter. Considered a reference of the Brazilian sculpture of the decade of 1980, its work often uses architectural materials, opening to reflections on the social and historical memory. A pioneer of video art in Brazil, in 1973 he was awarded the 5th Summer Salon of the Museum of Modern Art of Rio de Janeiro. He participated in the Mercosur Biennial, the Nouvelle Biennale in Paris and four editions of the São Paulo International Biennial.
