Marco Garaude Giannotti (São Paulo SP 1966). Painter, engraver, translator and teacher. Between 1977 and 1980, he attended the workshop of engraving in metal and drawing of Sérgio Fingermann (1953), in São Paulo. He lives in New York between 1980 and 1982, where he participates in art courses at The Metropolitan Museum of Art (MET). He won the prize for the acquisition of the National Salon of Plastic Arts in Rio de Janeiro in 1986 and 1988. In 1987 he received the Ivan Serpa Grant from the National Art Foundation (Funarte) in Rio de Janeiro. The following year, he graduated in Philosophy from the Faculty of Philosophy, Letters and Human Sciences of the University of São Paulo (FFLCH / USP). Still in 1988, it realizes its first individual exhibitions in São Paulo and in Rio de Janeiro and receives the prize acquisition in the 2nd Salon of Bahia.
