Romy Pocztaruk holds a master’s degree in Visual Poetry from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul. His work deals with simulations and with the position from which the artist interacts with different places, and with the possible relationships from the crossroads of different fields and disciplines (like science and communication) with the field of art, generating poetic results in different media and media. He has held solo exhibitions at the CDF Centro de Fotografia de Montevideo (2016), São Paulo Cultural Center (2015), SIM Gallery (2014), Gesture Gallery (2014) and Goethe Institute POA (2013). He also held residencies in the Bronx Museum (New York), the Iberê Camargo Stock Exchange of artistic residences; China (Sunhoo Creatives in Residency), Berlin (Takt Kunstprojektraum) and Instituto Sacatar in Bahia.
